In January 2004, The Bagelry changed ownership and is now owned by Neva and Ricky Silverstein. They have made The Bagelry a community meeting place, because of the high level of Customer Service, as well as a true family run business with 3 generations of Silverstein's working. They have brought in the highest quality smoked fishes, and Deli available, plus expanded the menu to include all your deli favorites. Ricky was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland where he experienced and worked in various New York style Delis and bagel shops. Neva grew up in the Washington area, where she experienced this area's style of Delis and Bagel shops. They are both graduates of the University of Maryland and preside in the Silver Spring area. Both have vast experience in the retail trade and bring this to the establishment they care about and are proud to serve their customers on a daily basis. Arnold Silverstein (Ricky's father) came on board in October 2004, to contribute to the family business. He brings with him over 45 years of retail experience, and is always willing to sit down and chat with the customers. Last but not least Joel Silverstein (Ricky and Neva's oldest son) came on board in January 2004. Joel completed a Restaurant Management certificate and brings to The Bagelry experience and an extra warm greeting when you walk through the door. We don't want to forget Krystal Jackson. Krystal will also greet you with a warm welcome and she makes the best Reuben around. So with 3 generations of Silverstein's serving you with pride everyday what else could you ask for?
